We are passionate about delivering original and captivating graphic art designs that celebrate everyday life. Our journey has been one of resilience, creativity, and unwavering commitment to our community.

Building Something Special

In 2000, after witnessing a friend severely beaten for being different, we made a life-changing decision. We opened Throb, a nightclub that would become more than just a venue—it was a safe haven for our victimized LGBTQI+ community and a catalyst for changing attitudes throughout our city. For 23 years, Throb flourished, saving countless lives and opening minds by showing people what our community was truly about.

During those same years, we also published Resident Magazine for 17 successful years. This lifestyle publication showcased the aspirational side of living in Northern Australia—a perspective the rest of the country rarely saw beyond the "rugged outback" stereotype. We featured beautiful homes, stunning architecture, and the true quality of life in our region, distributed exclusively throughout the Northern Territory.

As social media began to impact print advertising, we decided to focus on our next venture: FLUID, a beverage brand we'd created and served successfully at Throb. We had ambitious plans to take FLUID national.

When Everything Changed

Our world turned upside down overnight through no fault of our own. Tenants below our venue had removed two supporting walls under our dancefloor two years prior—a fact known to our landlord, a prominent local developer. Instead of reinstating the walls (which could have caused the entire building to collapse), he fabricated unrelated issues to force us out. We later discovered he wanted our liquor license for his own planned venue.

Despite our 23-year track record of successful operations, the government and licensing authorities who had once respected us suddenly turned against us. We were told that if we wanted to open elsewhere, we'd have to start from zero—as if those 23 years meant nothing. The authorities even ignored the serious safety issues our landlord had created. It was a disgrace, and we decided we wanted nothing more to do with our hometown's cover-up.

The unexpected closure of Throb also derailed our plans for FLUID, as we lost our primary income source and faced additional obstacles from larger competitors blocking our access to venues.

Learning and Adapting

The past two and a half years have been challenging as we've adapted to how dramatically the world has changed. We learned some hard lessons, particularly from PR and social media agencies that promised the world but delivered nothing. One Sydney-based agency demanded an upfront $24,000 from us for what we were told would be a media launch, only to present us with a copy of our own information and demand another $30,000 to actually do the work—a total scam we'll never repeat. This continued to happen with other Social Media agency's conning their way until we started to see the scams.

But we never gave up. During this difficult period, we've trained ourselves in new skills and learned to navigate the modern digital landscape. We've gained knowledge that simply wasn't available to us two years ago, positioning us to create sustainable income streams in today's world.

Moving Forward

Through it all, we've never given up on ourselves or each other. As a couple, Tim and Mark have been together for 35 years—married and united by a love that's strong like glue. Together with Boss (our loyal Australian Cattle Dog), we've created an unbreakable family team. We've learned that strong mothers and close family connections are everything. They're the foundation that keeps you grounded when the world tries to knock you down, and the source of strength that helps you build back something beautiful again.

Today, we bring the same passion and authenticity to everything we create. We don't hold back with our products—we love good humor, we reject bigotry, we cherish our Mother Earth, and we believe in peace, respect, and goodwill for all. Our journey has taught us that timing matters, resilience pays off, and there's always a way forward, even at your most lowest point, when you're willing to learn and adapt.

We're here now, ready to share our creativity and experience with the world, one design at a time.
